This sensor features a nanoporous silicon membrane with pore sizes of approximately 2 nanometers, allowing it to measure water potential as low as -35 bars!<\/p>\n<p>After a simple installation process (approximately 20 to 30 minutes), where the microchip tensiometer is embedded into the plant\u2019s woody tissue, the sensor provides real-time, continuous water potential data.
