These dendrometers are suitable for long-term outdoor use. Due to their extremely low power consumption, Ecomatik dendrometers are ideal for battery-powered solutions, such as in IoT applications.<\/p>\n<p>The DR dendrometer is specifically designed for trees with medium to very large diameters (&gt; 8 cm; or DC3, &gt; 5 cm). The DR dendrometer is mounted with one (DR3, DR3W) or two special screws (DR1, DR2, DR1W) anchored into the tree. Changes outside the tree\u2019s woody mass correspond to radial growth and daily variations in tree diameter, which are linked to the tree&#8217;s water status.
