DD-L dendrometers are devices designed for continuous and highly accurate measurement of changes in tree diameter. These sensors are specifically designed for long-term use in outdoor environments, and due to their low power consumption, they are ideal for applications using battery-powered solutions, such as IoT systems. These dendrometers are suitable for medium-sized trees and branches, with diameters ranging from 3 to 30 cm. The DD-L1W model is specifically adapted for diameters up to 20 cm. The devices are easy to install using UV-resistant elastic straps, ensuring stable measurement without exerting excessive pressure on the trees.

Available DD-L Dendrometer Models:

• DD-L1: Measurement range of 11 mm, suitable for species with slow or average growth rates.
• DD-L2: Measurement range of 25 mm, ideal for fast-growing species.
• DD-L3: Measurement range of 50 mm for very fast-growing species.
• DD-L1W: A hermetically sealed model, designed for extreme conditions such as high humidity, submersion in water, snow cover, and other challenging environments. Suitable for tree diameters ranging from 3 to 20 cm.

Limitations of the DD-L Series:

• Not suitable for trees with a diameter greater than 30 cm (or greater than 20 cm for the DD-L1W model)
• DD-L1, DD-L2, and DD-L3 models are not intended for extreme conditions such as high humidity, underwater, or snow-covered environments – for such conditions, the DD-L1W model is recommended.
